What We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the service.

• Account information — your email address and encrypted password when you create an account (stored via Supabase).
• Financial data you enter — loan balances, interest rates, minimum payments, and budget items. This data is stored only when you are signed in and choose to save a plan.
• Email address — if you request a free PDF download without an account, we capture your email to deliver it. This is stored via Resend.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. PayoffPath never sees or stores your raw card details.
• Usage data — page views, feature interactions, and general analytics collected via Google Analytics. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to provide and improve the service.

• Operate the debt payoff calculator, budget planner, and related tools.
• Process subscription billing and manage your account tier via Stripe.
• Send transactional emails — account confirmations, password resets, and PDF delivery — via Resend.
• Generate AI-powered budget insights. Your budget data is sent to Groq to produce insights. Groq does not store personally identifiable information from API requests per their data handling terms.
• Analyze usage patterns to understand which features are working well and where to improve.

Third-Party Services

PayoffPath integrates the following third-party services to operate. Each handles data according to their own privacy policies.

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (US-based PostgreSQL).
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Google Analytics — aggregated usage analytics.
• Google AdSense — advertising on the free tier.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Groq — AI inference for budget insights.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases located in the United States. We enforce row-level security so that your data is only accessible to your account.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the service.

• Session cookies — used by Supabase to keep you signed in.
• Analytics cookies — used by Google Analytics to track aggregated usage.
• Advertising cookies — used by Google AdSense on the free tier to serve relevant ads.

Your Rights

You have control over your data.

• Delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Delete Account.
• Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by contacting hello@payoffpath.ai.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of PayoffPath after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
